History

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc. was founded in 1990 in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada as a limited partnership. The company solidified its position as a leader of renewable energy in Quebec in 2000, when it acquired ten hydroelectric sites in the Gaspésie and Bas-Saint-Laurent regions. A series of acquisitions and construction projects in British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec and Ontario allowed Innergex to become a leader of renewable energy in Canada.
