Internet Security Systems (ISS) was founded in 1994 by Tom Noonan, Chris Klaus, and Ulf Mattsson, who shared a dream of creating a global consumer brand—comparable to Intel and Microsoft—in the burgeoning area of computer security. Their vision was to create leading-edge security solutions to protect businesses and consumers against the ever-increasing Internet security threats.
