The company was formerly known as MBAC Fertilizer Corp. and changed its name to Itafos Inc. in December 2016. The company was incorporated in 1999 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. Itafos Inc. is a subsidiary of CL Fertilizers Holding LLC.
History
Itafos was founded in 2015 following the acquisition of the former Stardust Mining Corporation, one of the world’s leading providers of specialty phosphates and downstream products. Over the years, the company has expanded its specialty phosphate product portfolio, acquired and developed new renewable energy projects and expanded its operations to include new geographies.
