The channel primarily operates in the English language and can be accessed through platforms such as StarTimes, BEN Television, and Lyngsat. This widespread availability ensures that viewers have ample opportunities to engage with KAFTAN TV's diverse content.
In a bid to further expand its reach and cater to a broader audience, KAFTAN TV made a significant move in August 2020. It launched its Yoruba-language channel, enabling it to connect with viewers who prefer content in their native language. The Yoruba channel commenced broadcasting on StarTimes nationwide and reached audiences outside Nigeria on 1 September 2020.
While covering the 2018 Osun State general elections in Osogbo, the state capital, KAFTAN TV faced a challenging incident. A crew member was unfortunately injured during an attack by thugs amidst a violent disruption of election proceedings. Additionally, the channel's production equipment suffered irreparable damage. This incident highlighted the risks and challenges faced by media organizations in their commitment to providing timely and accurate coverage.
In addition to its broadcasting activities, KAFTAN TV is involved in media production and theatre arts training. The channel operates a dedicated entity that offers training programs in media production and theater arts.
