History

Lewis Group Limited was founded in Port Elizabeth in 1970 by brothers Lewis and Richard Lewis. The company initially focused on providing goods on credit for the local population but has since grown and evolved into a major retail entity. In 2007, the company became listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).
