Africanize Cuisines is an international chain of African-inspired restaurants dedicated to providing an authentic African-infused food experience. Africanize Cuisines has over 60 locations across the globe and has been serving up African-inspired meals since 1997.
History

Africanize Cuisines started off as a small eatery in the heart of Johannesburg. Its founder, Ayana Pope, had the vision to create a restaurant that celebrated the diverse flavors and cooking styles of African cultures. As the years went by, Ayana’s vision grew bigger and bigger, culminating in the formation of Africanize Cuisines. Africanize Cuisines has since grown to have over 60 worldwide locations, making it one of the biggest African-style food chains in the world.

Our mission is to provide our customers with an authentic experience of African-inspired flavors and cooking styles. We strive to represent the unique and rich cultures of African nations through our dishes, by using quality ingredients and traditional recipes.

Our vision is to become a global brand that provides an authentic experience of African-style cuisine, while introducing customers to the various African cultures.

Africanize Cuisines has been awarded numerous awards. We were named “Best African Restaurant” in 2018 by World Cuisine Magazine, “Best International Cuisine” in 2019 by BBC Good Food Guide, and “Best Fusion Cuisine” in 2020 by Eater Magazine.
