History

Loma Negra has a long and proud history of contributing to the development of Argentina’s construction and infrastructure sectors. The company built the first cement plant in Olavarría in 1926. In 1998, the company embarked on an aggressive expansion strategy and now operates three cement plants and four terminals. In 2016, the company acquired a controlling stake in IWS, the leading producer of masonry and special cements in Argentina.
