Dr. Martha Boeckenfeld was born in Germany and pursued her higher education at the University of Münster, where she completed a PhD in Law. She built a career in financial services, digital transformation, and emerging technologies, holding leadership roles in major global institutions.

She started her corporate career at Axa in 1997, where she held executive positions, including CFO for Asia and a board member of the former Winterthur Group, overseeing corporate transformation. She played a key role in integrating Winterthur Group into Axa in 2006. In 2007, she joined BHF Kleinwort Benson Group as CFO, where she led the acquisition of banking assets and strategic expansion. She later became the CEO of Kleinwort Benson in 2014, leading its wealth management and corporate business while focusing on digital transformation.

She served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Scope Group from 2016 to 2018 and as a board member of UniCredit, Generali, and BlackRock from 2016 to 2019, contributing to financial services and digital innovation strategies. In 2019, she joined UBS as Head of Digital Platforms & Marketplaces for Switzerland and later became a Senior Advisor in Digital Platforms & Ecosystems until 2021.

In 2022, she founded marthaverse, a consulting and education brand focused on digital transformation. She provides masterclasses, executive education, and strategic advice on AI, blockchain, Web3, and responsible technology. She also became a Partner and Investor at krea.global, an AI-powered design agency, and a Founder and Partner at Femitopia, an initiative merging art with activism to support sustainability.
