The company’s mission is to raise $1 billion for good causes and individuals by providing scalable, cost-effective cloud computing services that run in sustainable energy data centres. Cudo’s intelligent multi-platform software enables users to generate revenue from available computing resources, supporting businesses in meeting CSR policies and generating income streams.
Before founding Cudo, Matt was the CEO of CudoCompute, a platform offering sustainable cloud computing services across the globe. As an NVIDIA Cloud Partner, CudoCompute helps clients design, architect, and scale computing capacity on demand. The platform provides significant cost savings compared to hyperscale providers, offering up to 80% savings by simplifying access to a broader pool of high-powered computing and distributed resources at the edge. Additionally, CudoCompute allows customers to sell unused capacity on the network and offer access to charities.
Matt is also the CEO of CUDOS, a decentralised cloud blockchain powered by Cudo, which bridges the gap between cloud computing and blockchain technology. CUDOS offers up to 10 times more cost-effective computing through its platform, which is used by organisations in video rendering, medical research, and more. The platform is supported by the CUDOS Token and has attracted a wide range of clients, including charities and carbon-neutral platforms.
Before founding Cudo and its associated platforms, Matt founded MiMiC Group, a company focused on improving network performance, renewable energy, and infrastructure services. Matt also played a key role in C4L, a company he founded in 2000. C4L was a colocation, connectivity, cloud, and communications provider based in the UK. C4L provided access to over 100 UK data centres and more than 300 globally. The company was responsible for approximately 1% of the UK’s internet infrastructure, and its high-capacity, 1-100Gb fibre-optic network was one of the largest private networks in the country. In 2016, C4L was acquired by CORETX, where Matt took on the role of Chief Technical Officer, overseeing the company’s technology strategy and M&A activities.
Matt’s career began in the early 1990s with the founding of MAP Computing, a business selling software and computers through industry magazines and media. After moving on from MAP Computing, Matt founded Gold Standard Computing, a computer distribution business, while still at university. In the late 1990s, Matt joined Revenue Makers, an early player in affiliate marketing, where he grew the user base by 1000% in just one year. His success at Revenue Makers led to a move to UK Affiliates, where he served as Business Development Director and helped grow the company’s market presence.
