At McCombs, the achievement of the acquisition of higher knowledge by students is developed through a combination of highly ranked academic programmes and a renowned faculty. The business school has top research centres in finance, real estate, marketing and technology to help aide in their mission to be a leading research in business study. The classroom environment is rigorous and intense and the school has an alumni network of over 80,000.
The Texas MBA Programme is offered in full-time and evening formats and is designed around the key pillars of knowledge and understanding, responsibility and integrity, communication and collaboration and a worldview of business and society. The programme is designed to develop participants into business leaders and give them the knowledge and skills needed to make a difference in society. The MBA Programme provides students with a hands-on learning experience. Educational materials are delivered through summer internships, research projects, venture labs and global and leadership programmes. The curriculum lets students choose from 20 different concentrations and is flexible to tailor to individual schedule needs. It is focused on providing a solid foundation of business fundamentals and a broad selection of electives is offered to personalise students education. The evening MBA curriculum is composed of 48 credit hours in essential business skills and is 33 months long. Classes are held on Monday and Tuesdays from 6 PM to 9 PM. MBA Programmes are also offered in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston and Mexico City and range from 21-month to 24-month programmes.
The Executive MBA Programme is designed for students to expand their intellectual capital and augment their careers through providing knowledge in the areas of meaningful decision-making, real-business issues that managers face on a daily basis, problem framing and solution development. Classes are held at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Centre on Fridays and Saturdays every other week and last approximately eight hours each day. The programme contains 42 credit hours and is broken up into four semesters. Below is a list of the courses covered in each semester.


Additionally, students will complete three to six hours of special studies courses, graduate work courses and attend the Washington Campus Elective, a seminar based in Washington, D.C. Throughout the programme, study groups are an integral part of the curriculum and students are constantly placed in group environments designed to have members from different industries and diverse backgrounds that bring unique skills to the team. The programme also uses advanced technologies to foster the group learning environment as well. McCombs School of Business also offers Executive Education Programmes in non-degree, open-enrollment formats that are designed to increase participants leadership skills and broaden their business knowledge.
