It offers iCOMDEX, a real-time commodity futures price indices; and trades in bullion, base metals, energy, and agricultural commodities. It has strategic alliances with various exchanges, such as CME group, Dalian Commodity Exchange, London Metal Exchange, Mozambique Commodities Exchange, Taiwan Futures Exchange, and Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The company was incorporated in 2002 and is based in Mumbai, India.
History

The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) was set up in 2003 with headquarters in Mumbai. It is regulated by the Forward Markets Commission (FMC) and is a registered Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) with the Global LEI System. MCX is a publicly traded company with its shares listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
