History

MedReleaf was founded in 2013 by 3 cannabis entrepreneurs, Dr. Navid Mirza, Trevor Campbell and Darren Karasiuk. The team wanted to create a cannabis company with a patient-first philosophy, combining pharmaceutical-grade production standards, advanced research, and a proactive educational approach. MedReleaf earned its Health Canada license to cultivate and sell cannabis the same year it was founded and established its first production facility in Markham, Ontario in 2014.
