Megacable Holdings, SAB de CV was founded in 1993 through the merger of several regional cable companies and operates as the largest privately held cable operator in Mexico. Initially offering 17 independent cable systems operating throughout eight Mexican states, the company expanded to over 300 franchises in 57 different cities by 2001. The company went on the public market for the first time in 2006 and rapidly began showing significant growth.
