History

Meidensha was founded in 1895 by Shigeru Takeda in Kojimachi, Tokyo. Throughout its history, the company has been involved in the electric and power industries, as well as electric railway and power generation sectors. It has developed a wide range of products and services, from power electronics to electric drives, from motors to fuel cells. Meidensha was one of the first companies to become involved in providing electricity to the Japanese people.
