Co-founders Mahadi Wiratomartono and Dr. Bachtiar founded Mitra Keluarga in 1986 as a chain of private hospitals and clinics. Over thirty years, Mitra Keluarga has grown from a small clinic to a well-known hospital group with 39 hospitals and 45 clinics throughout the archipelago.
