Monitise plc was founded in 2003 by joint CEO, Alastair Lukies, and arose from a combination of two earlier companies, Monitise Mind and Airbacs. Monitise quickly placed itself as the leading payments technology, services and solutions provider in the UK serving major banks, and eventually became a leading provider in the U.S., Europe, Africa and Asia.
