Motorcycle Holdings Limited was founded in 1996 in Sydney, with the goal of becoming Australia's largest motorcycle dealership group. The company's first store opened in 1997 in Sydney and steadily grew over the next decade as it expanded into other states in Australia and New Zealand. By 2011, MHL had 74 dealerships across Australia and New Zealand.
