Biography

Prof. Dr. Murthy Siva Satya Srinivasa Chavali Yadav has established himself as a prominent figure in the domains of chemistry, nanotechnology, and analytical chemistry, with a career that spans over two decades. Born and raised in India, he began his academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from Nagarjuna University in 1990. He then pursued a Master of Science in Technology (M.Sc. Tech) in Chemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 1994, further solidifying his foundation in the field.

Driven by a passion for research, Murthy advanced his studies abroad, achieving a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Analytical Chemistry from Technische Universität Wien (Vienna University of Technology), Austria, in 2000. His doctoral research laid the groundwork for his future contributions to the scientific community, particularly in the areas of nanotechnology and sensor development.

Following his Ph.D., Murthy embarked on an international research career, initially as a postdoctoral scientist at the Centre for Instrumental Analysis, Kobe University, Japan. His work in Japan focused on advanced spectroscopic techniques, which would become a central theme in his later research. He continued his postdoctoral studies at Yamaguchi University, where he worked in the fields of mechanical and aeronautical engineering, further diversifying his expertise.

In 2003, Murthy joined the Precision Instrument Development Centre (PIDC) and later the Instrument Technology Research Centre (ITRC) in Taiwan. During his time there, he was involved in cutting-edge research on sensors and standards, contributing to the development of optical waveguide technology and infrared (IR) sensors. His work in Taiwan marked a significant period in his career, where he gained recognition for his contributions to nanotechnology and sensor applications.

Returning to India, Dr. Chavali took on academic leadership roles, including serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Nanotechnology at NIU, where he was also the Director of the International Relations Office (IRO). His experience in international collaborations made him a valuable asset to the institution, fostering research partnerships across the globe.

Murthy's academic leadership extended to various other institutions, including his role as Dean of International Relations and Director of the Centre for International Affairs at VFSTR University. He also served as the Director of the Centre of Excellence for Advanced Materials, Manufacturing, Processing, and Characterisation (CoExAMMPC), where he spearheaded initiatives in advanced materials research.

Additionally, he authored a significant study on the use of thin films as nanobiosensors for the early detection of prostate cancer. This work, titled "AFM Studies of Thin Films as Nanobiosensor for Early Detection of Prostate Cancer," was published in Advanced Materials Research on 1st January 2013. Currently, Prof. Murthy serves as the Dean of Research and Development (R&D) and a Senior Professor of Chemistry at Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University in Pune, Maharashtra.
