As of September 30, 2020, the company owned 3,114 properties in 48 states with a gross leasable area of approximately 32.4 million square feet and with a weighted average remaining lease term of 10.7 years.
History

National Retail Properties was founded in 1984 as a spin-off from National Health Investors. The company went public in 1988 and its stock began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in 1995. Since then, the company has grown to manage more than 2500 properties and has grown its dividend each year.
