History

NH Investors was founded in 1991 as a REIT to take advantage of the tax benefits of REITs, and is organized as a Maryland Real Estate investment Trust. In 1997, the company made its first health care real estate acquisition, and in 1998 and 1999, the company made its first mortgage, mezzanine and joint venture investments.
