With over 20 years of experience as an investment consultant, senior executive, and board member, Niamh Sterling's career achievements are impressive. She currently serves as an Investment Consultant for Halo Angel Business Network (HBAN), where she manages HBAN syndicates in several overseas locations. Niamh's primary responsibility at HBAN is to source the best deals and oversee the investment process. Niamh Sterling is a seasoned investment consultant, senior executive, and board member with more than 20 years of experience in assessing viability and building successful commercial companies. She is currently working as an Investment Consultant for Halo Angel Business Network (HBAN), Ireland's largest angel network, where she is responsible for managing the overseas network of HBAN syndicates in Dubai, London, Singapore, New York, and the West Coast US. Niamh's primary role at HBAN is to source the best deal flow and manage the investment process from origination to closing. In 2022, HBAN invested €36 million in 86 deals.
Niamh was the co-founder and director of two successful Irish-owned companies, Interact (1997) and H2O Solutions (2002), both leading firms in the FM and Water Management Sectors. Both companies were acquired by Bidvest Noonan in 2021, a company with revenues of more than €800M and part of the South African owned Bidvest Group.
Niamh also served as a board member of Leo Lynch Engineering Contractors, a successful process engineering company, up until its acquisition by Cathexis, a US multi-billion dollar Private Equity House, in 2022. Niamh joined the board as a shareholder and director upon her father's retirement, who founded Leo Lynch in 1956.
Niamh is the chairperson of RecipeGuru, a digital publishing company that she founded in 2016. The company provides solutions for some of the largest global publishers and trades internationally with B2B clients in the US, Australia, and UK. Niamh was named UK Barclaycard Retail woman of the year 2018 for her work in delivering the first scalable long-tail monetization solution to global cookbook publishers.
Besides her professional accomplishments, Niamh is also a mentor for the European Innovation Council's Women in Leadership programme, which supports first-time female CEOs in deep tech sectors.
