Further, the company develops healthcare, information and communication materials, and environmental and energy materials. The company was formerly known as Nissan Chemical Industries, Ltd. and changed its name to Nissan Chemical Corporation in July 2018. Nissan Chemical Corporation was founded in 1887 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
History

The company was founded in 1887 as the Tokyo Jinzo Hiryo by Jokichi Takamine, Eiichi Shibusawa and Takashi Masuda. Takamine served as chief technical advisor for the company, which later was renamed to Dai Nippon Artificial Fertilizer Company. The company changed the corporate name from Nissan Chemical Industries, Ltd. to Nissan Chemical Corporation on July 1, 2018.
