History

Since its foundation, OKI Electric Industry Company has grown from a domestic communications equipment manufacturer in Japan to an international business with a global network of subsidiaries, customers and partners. In 1956, OKI introduced the world’s first single-unit multifunctional communications device and the company’s exposure to the IT industry began to grow significantly. In 1986, OKI became the world’s first vendor to develop a laser printer based on a single chip and since then, the company has continued to break new ground, introducing innovative products such as digital multifunction peripherals, color laser printers and Multi-Function Printing Solutions.
