Onida was founded in 1981 by G.L. Mirchandani and V.L. Mirchandani, with a vision of providing technologically advanced consumer durables to the Indian households. In 1984, Onida launched its first television set, which was an instant hit in the market and revolutionised the industry. Since then, Onida has gone on to launch a range of products such as refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, air conditioners, audio players, etc.
