Ooredoo Q.P.S.C. is a subsidiary of Qatar Holding L.L.C.
History

Ooredoo’s story began in 1950 in Qatar, the company now operates across 10 countries and has over 119 million customers worldwide. The company was founded as the Qatar General Telecommunications Company in 1950 and was privatised in 1987. In 1998, the company was re-branded as Ooredoo, which means “I want” in Arabic.
