In 2021, William (BJ) Jenkins joined Palo Alto Networks as President, succeeding Amit Singh who assumed the role of Chief Business Officer. The company was named a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Firewalls for the eighth consecutive year, reaffirming its position as a leading provider of firewall solutions.

Also in 2021, the company transferred its listing from the New York Stock Exchange to the Nasdaq. This move was aimed at improving the company's visibility and trading liquidity and aligning with its strategic growth plans.

In 2022, the company appointed Nandini Ramani as its new Chief Technology Officer. The company also announced the acquisition of Expanse, a provider of attack surface management solutions, to enhance its security offerings.
