As of December 31, 2021, the company owned and operated six oil refineries and related assets. PBF Energy Inc. was founded in 2008 and is based in Parsippany, New Jersey.

History

PBF Energy was founded in 2008 by Tom O 'Malley and other senior members who had collectively spent over 20 years in the refining business. Since its inception, PBF Energy has become one of the largest independent refiners in North America, and today operates seven refineries in the United States, including Oregon,California, and Pennsylvania. The company also provides logistical services to its customers.
