History

PriceSmart was founded in 1983 as the first US membership warehouse club in the Caribbean. Over the past three decades, PriceSmart has grown and now operates 40 warehouse clubs in 12 countries, including 28 stores in Central America, six in the Caribbean and four in Colombia. By 2016, the company had more than 5.2 million members.
