The organization was founded in Antakya, Turkey, in February 2014, by women who raised the flag of rebellion during the abortion protests and Gezi in 2013. Since then, it has spread to other cities in Turkey, such as Adana, Mersin, Izmir, Istanbul, Antalya, and many more.
Purple Solidarity aims to protect women's lives and promote women's solidarity against harassment, femicide, war, chauvinism and assimilation, exploitation of body and labour, destruction of nature, homophobia, all forms of hierarchy, and all forms of violence against women. It establishes local women's councils and creates spaces for women to express themselves through workshops and seminars on various topics such as literacy, women's health, women's rights, women's labour, etc.
The organization publishes the Purple Solidarity women's newspaper and has held women's camps and conferences to demonstrate women's will throughout the country. In 2019, Mor Solidarity Women's Center opened in Besiktas, Istanbul, and the Mor Solidarity Association opened in Kartal. The organization aims to build a collective women's liberation awareness and movement by transforming women's anger into an organization.

Purple Solidarity Women's Association participated in various events and programs such as the "Gender through Games" event within the scope of Sabanci University Purple Certificate Program, the "Women's Human Rights Training Program Trainer Training (KHEP)" prepared by the Women's Human Rights and New Solutions Association, and the "Against Violence Against Refugee Women: To the Project of Changing Media Language and Mentality."

The nature walks are aimed at emphasizing the importance of nature, breathing comfortably in concrete piles, and strengthening the bonds between women and nature. Women's choir workshops aim to reveal hidden talents and provide women with an opportunity to express themselves through music. Sharing and earning a smile is an alternative event that takes place twice a year, where people can share their clean and usable clothes, jewellery, and other items, exchange them for another outfit, and enjoy sharing, smiling, and making others smile.
Purple Solidarity(Mor Dayansyma) ills the spaces on March 8 and November 25, when the women's movement won through struggle and whenever women's freedom is restricted and their lives are threatened. They also organize campaigns and various activities to strengthen women's words, voices, and actions. The organization stands in solidarity with working women who protect their labour, fill the spaces against abuse of children and violations of rights, and fight against all forms of violence against women.
