History

Radia Accelerator was founded in 2023 through a collaborative effort between AlbionVC and SpeedInvest. The initiative stemmed from a shared recognition of the underrepresentation of women in the SaaS (Software as a Service) sector and a commitment to fostering diversity within the tech startup ecosystem. Inspired by the need to empower and support women entrepreneurs, Radia Accelerator was designed to provide practical resources and a supportive network tailored specifically for early-stage startups led by women.

The accelerator's inception was marked by a strategic alignment of AlbionVC's and SpeedInvest's expertise in venture capital and startup acceleration. This partnership aimed to address the gender disparity observed among tech founders by offering a structured programme focused on equipping female co-founders with essential skills in business development, fundraising, and leadership. Since its establishment, Radia Accelerator has garnered support from various stakeholders in the tech community, including leading investors and industry professionals who share a commitment to advancing gender equality and promoting women's leadership in technology.

The 2024 edition of Radia Accelerator represents a continued commitment to fostering innovation and leadership among female entrepreneurs. With strategic partnerships and ongoing support from prominent tech firms like Snowflake, Aviva, Creandum, and Seedcamp, Radia Accelerator aims to accelerate the growth trajectories of early-stage startups led by women, ultimately striving to cultivate the next generation of women-led unicorns in Europe's tech ecosystem.
