Revolve was founded in 2003 by Michael Mente and Mike Karanikolas in Los Angeles, California. They began by selling men's and women's apparel, shoes and accessories from local boutiques and designers. In 2007, Revolve launched their e-commerce platform and began offering a wide selection of designer labels. In 2012, Revolve acquired the Los Angeles-based e-commerce site, Forward by Elyse Walker. In 2014, the company acquired the online electronics company, Echogear. And in 2017, Revolve acquired the online hardware retailer, Liberty Hardware.
