Founded in 1991, RF Micro Devices was one of the first companies to develop radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) and specialize in innovative power amplifier and radio receiver products. The company grew to become the leading global supplier of RF components and modules for use in the mobile handset market. In 2012, RF Micro Devices merged with TriQuint Semiconductor to expand the company's portfolio and support a broader customer base.
