Rhön-Klinikum was founded in 1962 when the former state of Thuringia combined its regional healthcare centers into one company. Since then, Rhön-Klinikum has grown to become one of Germany’s leading providers of comprehensive medical care, with a focus on rural healthcare and academic teaching. In 2015, Rhön-Klinikum became a public limited company and entered the stock exchange, allowing it to further expand its operations.
