Its hospitals offer treatment services, including rehabilitation of cardiovascular patients, hand surgery, neurological, psychosomatic, addiction therapy facilities, ophthalmology, trauma surgery, dentistry, thoracic, pulmonary, vascular, tumors, neurological conditions, and treatment of spinal column, joints, and heart diseases. It operates eight hospitals and 5,420 beds/places at five medical sites. The company is based in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, Germany.
History

Rhön-Klinikum was founded in 1962 when the former state of Thuringia combined its regional healthcare centers into one company. Since then, Rhön-Klinikum has grown to become one of Germany’s leading providers of comprehensive medical care, with a focus on rural healthcare and academic teaching. In 2015, Rhön-Klinikum became a public limited company and entered the stock exchange, allowing it to further expand its operations.
