Robert (REUKO) Milus

Rob (Reuko Milus) is a multidisciplinary visual artist and ambient music producer based in Oslo, Norway. Known for his signature blend of hypnotic particle sculptures and cinematic storytelling, Rob has spent over four years creating immersive art that captivates global audiences. As the founder of Reuko Milus Studio AS, he focuses on nature-inspired particle simulations and luminescent sculptures for installations, immersive experiences, and interactive live visuals. Rob’s work utilises cinematography, advanced particle simulations, AI, and drones to evoke a deep sense of wonder and connection to the elemental forces of nature.

His projects explore the intersection of nature, technology, and emotional resonance, offering a unique artistic perspective that merges the physical and digital realms. Notable works include Aero Dream, inspired by wind data from Norway, Sweden, and Finland, which visualizes the serene and turbulent flows of air currents, capturing the essence of jet streams and natural wind patterns. Another significant project, Light Bodies, reflects on inner energy and spirit, exploring the hidden light within nature.

Rob’s most immersive and thought-provoking creation, Sol Bound, is a multi-disciplinary exploration connecting the human spirit with landscapes from around the world. This project combines luminescent particle sculptures and ambient soundscapes to offer a deeply immersive experience. His Luxury Wellness project, presented in Dubai and London, blends breathwork, meditation, neuro-sound frequencies, and stunning visuals to create a 9D immersive experience designed to promote emotional healing and self-awareness.

Before founding his studio, Rob worked as a VFX & Visual Designer at Krillbite Studio and as a Freelance 3D Artist from 2015 to 2018, creating innovative visual effects and animations for various projects. He also contributed to game production at Funcom and worked as a Graphics Design Consultant for Latino Health Communications, providing graphics and server database management for important health events. Rob holds a background in 3D Modelling and Animation from Schoolcraft College.

Robert Milus was born and raised in the United States before moving to Norway. He developed an interest in visual arts and digital media from a young age. Robert studied Digital Art and 3D Modelling and Animation at Schoolcraft College between 2009 and 2010, where he gained foundational skills in 3D modelling, animation, and design. This academic background set the stage for his later work in digital art and immersive installations.

Robert began his professional career in the gaming industry, working as a Game Artist Intern at Funcom in 2011. He worked on the live team of the sci-fi MMORPG Anarchy Online, contributing to tasks such as item shop modelling, character and weapon texturing, and environment modelling. After his internship, Robert continued working with Funcom as a Game Production Artist, focusing on next-gen graphics, animation, and promotional material. This early experience with digital art and 3D modelling played a key role in shaping his future work in visual art and immersive experiences.

Robert also worked as a freelance 3D Artist and Animator from 2015 to 2018, creating visual effects and animations for a variety of projects. He gained experience working with clients across different industries, honing his skills in both creative and technical aspects of visual design.

In 2021, Robert founded Reuko Milus Studio AS, where he shifted focus to nature-inspired particle simulations and luminescent sculptures for immersive installations, live visuals, and interactive experiences. His work combines his technical background in visual effects and digital art with his passion for nature and emotional connection. 

One of his notable early works was Aero Dream, a project inspired by wind speed data from Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Through advanced particle simulations, Robert visualised the serene and turbulent flows of air currents, drawing on his fascination with jet streams and weather patterns. This work highlighted Robert's ability to blend data, technology, and nature into compelling visual art.

Another key project was Light Bodies, a series that focused on the inner energy and spirit within nature. The project sought to reflect on the hidden light in the natural world, inviting viewers to consider their connection to the energy that surrounds them. This work was a precursor to Sol Bound, a much larger project that combined aerial cinematography, particle sculptures, and ambient soundscapes to create an immersive experience that visualised the connection between the human spirit and the natural world. Sol Bound was designed as a multi-dimensional experience, offering meditation, relaxation, and focus through its visual and sonic elements.

Robert’s work continued to evolve through a series of ambitious projects that blend technology, nature, and immersive storytelling. One such project, Luxury Wellness, was presented in Dubai and London as a 9D immersive experience that incorporated breathwork, meditation, neuro-sound frequencies, and stunning visuals. 

The experience aimed to promote emotional healing and self-awareness, allowing attendees to release blockages and engage in transformative journeys. The success of Luxury Wellness led to a collaboration with The Mandrake boutique hotel in London, where the experience was further refined and presented to guests.

Robert’s work has gained international attention, with exhibitions and collaborations planned worldwide. His projects are known for their ability to transform spaces and engage audiences on both an emotional and sensory level, creating environments that encourage mindfulness, focus, and emotional release. As his projects continue to gain traction globally, Robert is working with technologists and artists to expand his immersive installations, taking his art to new heights.

As of 2025, Robert is still at the forefront of immersive visual art. His studio, Reuko Milus Studio AS, continues to create cutting-edge work that merges the boundaries of nature, technology, and art. Robert is collaborating with various artists and technologists to explore new methods of enhancing the emotional and sensory impact of his projects. His art now spans large-scale installations, live visuals, and interactive experiences, creating environments that move, surround, and transform the audience.
