Rodrigue Vitini

Rodrigue Vitini is a senior technology leader with more than two decades of international experience spanning cloud architecture, cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, and large-scale business transformation across Europe.

Rodrigue Vitini is a Digital Sovereignty Specialist Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Berlin, where he focuses on helping organisations design and operate cloud environments that meet the highest standards of data protection, security, and regulatory compliance. 

He works closely with public and private sector stakeholders to implement advanced sovereignty controls, ensuring that cloud adoption aligns with national, regional, and sector-specific requirements.

Prior to this, Rodrigue held the role of Global Solutions Architect at AWS, where he advised enterprises on digital strategy, cybersecurity, and large-scale cloud transformation. 

Before joining AWS, Rodrigue spent nearly 17 years at T-Systems International GmbH, part of Deutsche Telekom. His responsibilities covered international portfolio development, security consulting, solution engineering, and customer-facing leadership across the UK, France, Germany, and broader European markets. He played a key role in advancing ICT security and telecom solutions such as network security, security-as-a-service, VPN, MPLS, and advanced network analytics.

Rodrigue holds a Master of Science in Network & Optical Communications from Télécom Bretagne, alongside a Master of Science in Fundamental Physics from Université de Bretagne. 

After his education: Master of Science in Fundamental Physics from Université de Bretagne (1992 - 97) and Master of Science in Network & Optical Communications from Télécom Bretagne (1997 - 99), Rodrigue began his professional journey in the early 2000s in the telecommunications sector, where he developed a strong grounding in service delivery and customer operations. As Service Delivery Manager for the French business unit at T-Systems International GmbH, he was responsible for managing telecom clients and ensuring reliable delivery of complex services.

From 2007 to 2010, he progressed to Head of Customer & Sales Support in Paris, leading pre-sales and post-sales activities to support local business growth based on a global portfolio. In this role, Rodrigue strengthened his ability to translate technical capabilities into business value, working closely with sales teams, engineers, and customers to design solutions aligned with operational and commercial needs.

Between 2011 and 2014, Rodrigue took on the role of International Portfolio Manager in the UK, where his responsibilities expanded to the international development of ICT security and telecommunications products. He worked on solutions including network security, security-as-a-service, VPN, MPLS, and network behaviour analysis.

In 2014, he moved into a more specialised security role as a Security Consultant in London. Here, he focused on promoting and positioning enterprise security portfolios to solve complex business challenges. 

Rodrigue’s growing leadership responsibilities led to his appointment as Lead Digital Architect in 2014, a role he held for over six years. During this period, he played a central role in shaping digital architecture strategies, supporting large transformation programmes, and advising organisations on cybersecurity, digital platforms, and enterprise architecture. 

From 2018 to 2021, Rodrigue served as Director of Solution Architecture & Engineering at T-Systems International. In this senior leadership position, he led multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams, supported international clients, and contributed to digital strategy, cybersecurity frameworks, and business transformation initiatives across Europe. His responsibilities extended beyond delivery to include thought leadership, executive engagement, and the alignment of technology strategy with long-term organisational goals.

In 2021, Rodrigue joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Global Solutions Architect. At AWS, he advised organisations on cloud adoption, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and data privacy, working across industries and geographies. His role involved helping customers navigate complex regulatory environments while leveraging cloud technologies to innovate at scale.

Since July 2024, Rodrigue has been serving as a Digital Sovereignty Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS in Berlin. In this role, he is committed to enabling customers to implement advanced sovereignty controls and features within the cloud. His work focuses on data protection, cloud security, regulatory compliance, and sovereign cloud architectures, supporting organisations—particularly in Europe—as they address growing concerns around data residency, trust, and digital independence.

Rodrigue Vitini’s vision is to enable organisations and societies to adopt cloud and digital technologies with trust, control, and long-term resilience at their core. He believes that cloud innovation and digital sovereignty must progress together—where security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance are built into systems by design, not added as afterthoughts.
