
PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo was founded in 1983 as a joint venture between the Indonesian-Japanese group, Daiwa Corporation and PT Pacific Indosari Corpindo. The company started its operations with a margarine plant in Jakarta and later moved to Manado, North Sulawesi. In the 1990s, the company started producing a variety of bread products including sliced breads, toast breads, pastries and bakery snacks.
