Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, founded in 2011 by renowned philanthropist Shiv Nadar, is a multidisciplinary, student-centric research university located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The university, which spans 286 acres, encompasses four primary schools: Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management and Entrepreneurship, along with the Academy of Continuing Education. Notably, it was the first in India to offer a four-year multidisciplinary research degree. In March 2021, the university signed an MoU with the Ministry of Education, India, to be recognised as an Institution of Eminence. Following legislative changes in January 2022, this status was officially granted in August 2022. The institution is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is led by Chancellor Shikhar Malhotra.

In March 2021, the institution signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education, Government of India, marking its recognition as an Institution of Eminence. This status was officially conferred in August 2022, following the promulgation of the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Amendment) Ordinance in January 2022, which removed the university from the list of private universities, thus paving the way for its new designation.

With 129 companies participating, including industry giants like Amazon, HCL Technologies, and Deloitte, the highest package reached INR 58.09 LPA, marking a significant 99% increase from the previous year. The average package rose by nearly 22%, reaching INR 11.35 LPA, while the median package stood at INR 9.97 LPA.
