Goals and Purpose

The main goal of the Support Foundation for Civil Society (STDV) is to contribute to the development of the culture of donation in Turkey by bringing together the priorities of donors with the needs of civil society. The foundation firmly believes that donation should be developed for the solution of Turkey's social problems and supports this through grant programs and capacity strengthening activities for civil society organizations. By providing grants to NGOs, STDV aims to contribute to the production of innovative and sustainable solutions that will address Turkey's social issues.

Impact

Sivil Toplum Destek (Support Foundation for Civil Society) has had a significant impact on various fields, including poverty alleviation, disaster response, environmental sustainability, and education. The Cemre Fund, for instance, was established to support leading non-governmental organizations working in the field of poverty alleviation. By providing resources and expertise, the Fund aims to ensure that individuals have access to basic needs, alleviate the problems brought by poverty, and meet urgent and continuous needs. The Kahramanmara? Earthquake Small Support Fund, on the other hand, was established to provide urgent needs identified in the region by non-governmental organizations (NGOs) active in the field of disaster response, to eliminate the destruction experienced in the earthquake region, and to reduce the effects of the earthquake on the residents of the region.

In addition, the Fund for Digital Transformation in the Field of Environmental Sustainability was created to support NGOs' digital transformation processes, while the Fund for Innovative Approaches in Education was established to support NGOs' work and projects in education and learning poverty. Finally, the All Ages Fund was created to support NGOs operating in the fields of aging, women, health, and education.

Through these various initiatives, STGM has been able to make a significant impact on different sectors of society, including vulnerable populations. The poverty and inequalities that exist in society have deepened during and after the pandemic, and these initiatives have helped alleviate some of the problems brought by poverty and natural disasters, such as the Kahramanmara? earthquake. Additionally, the digital transformation initiatives have helped NGOs adapt to the new reality brought on by the pandemic, while the education and aging initiatives have helped support the most vulnerable members of society.
