In addition, it engages in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, heating and air conditioning, building ventilation, utilities and automation for industries; and management of IT and data processing infrastructures. SPIE SA was founded in 1900 and is headquartered in Cergy-Pontoise, France.

History

SPIE was founded in 1945 as an industrial services company in Paris and started to grow internationally in the 1970s. By 1999, this international expansion led to the merging of the French group SPIE, the German group Enervie and the Belgian group Sofinel. Since then, the development of SPIE has continued organically and by acquisitions around the world.
