History

In 2015, the Stagwell Group was founded by Mark Penn, the former Microsoft and WPP executive, with a mission to build a new kind of marketing services firm. The Group initially invested in DDC, a digital design and consulting company, and Code + Theory, a creative and digital agency. In 2016, the Stagwell Group expanded its portfolio with MMI Public Relations and Luntz Global Partners. Over the next few years, the Group added the remaining marketing service companies that comprise the Stagwell family today.
