STRATEC was founded in 1982 by four scientific university members from the department of medical technology of the University of Tübingen. In the early years of STRATEC, the Company only concentrated on the development and manufacturing of diagnostic systems for blood typing and for the determination of the therapeutic antibody concentration. In the Eighties, the Company focused on the implementation of automated systems for testing igm hepatitis antibodies. By the end of the Eighties, more than 350 systems have been installed all over the world.
