History

Sundaram Finance Limited was incorporated in 1954 as a Non-Banking Finance Company. After being incorporated, the Company’s focus shifted to diversifying its product portfolio and expanding its reach. Starting from 1975, the Company started retailing some of its products, such as, Equity Linked Savings Schemes, leasing services and home loan products. The transformation of SF’s core business operations happened during the late-90s when Private Service Period was removed in India.
