Tata Steel (Thailand) Public Company Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacturing, distributing, and trading steel bars, wire rods, and small section products in Thailand. The company offers reinforcing bars (rebar); low and high carbon wire rods; carbon wire rod for cold heading; wire rod for welding electrode; small section structural steel, consisting of angle and channel steel; carbon steel round bars; and cut and bend rebar under the Tata Tiscon brand name. It also exports its products. The company was formerly known as Millennium Steel Public Company Limited and changed its name to Tata Steel (Thailand) Public Company Limited in December 2006. The company was incorporated in 2002 and is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. Tata Steel (Thailand) Public Company Limited is a subsidiary of T S Global Holdings Pte. Ltd.
History

Tata Steel was first established in Thailand in 1978 by steelmaker Thalakorn Steel Sheet Company Limited, a subsidiary of US-based Allegheny Steel. In 1996, the Thai government began negotiations with the Indian Tata Group (now known as Tata Steel Thailand), and in 1997 the two parties signed an agreement for the establishment of Tata Steel (Thailand) Public Company Limited (TSTH). The company was subsequently listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 1998.
