The company offers tooling products, including dies and molds, and assembly jigs and checking fixtures; auto parts, such as metal stamping and plastic parts; and seats and interior trim products for various motor vehicles. It also provides contract assembly and sub-assembly services for vehicles, cargo boxes, excavator cabs, etc.; and vehicle painting services. In addition, the company is involved in the sale of cars, car accessories, and spare parts; repairing and refitting vehicles body; and manufacture of vehicle body parts. The company was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.
History

The company was first listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on 21 November 1994 . It remains 70% owned by Phaoenchoke family members, with Sompong Phaoenchoke being the CEO of the company.

In 1999, Thai Rung supplied the Chevrolet plant in Arica, Chile with Grand Adventure body parts to make the Chevrolet LUV Wagon and the Grand LUV.

Sales of the Adventure Master, based on the Isuzu D-Max pickup started in 2003 with about 300 units sold per month. At the same time sales of the Xciter, based on the Nissan Frontier D22, were around 100 units per month.
