Swanson began his career as an Instructor at Anhui University of Finance and Economics, where he worked from November 2008 to November 2011. He also interfaced, planned, and interacted with over a dozen Chinese managers and supervisors each month, managed, created, planned, and executed training programs and curricula.

Swanson has also worked as an Instructor at EF Education First, where he worked from April 2012 to November 2013. He worked one-on-one with business professionals to improve their communication and presentation skills using Adobe Connect and Salesforce.
