History

Transneft is the successor of the All-Union Oil Transportation Agency founded in 1940. As the leading, technology-driven enterprise in the Russian oil transportation system, Transneft is responsible for the operational control, repair, and construction of petroleum product pipelines. The company transports oil, condensate, as well as oil products from the producing fields to the refineries and oil-processing plants of Russia.
