Founded in 1987, it was one of the first companies to be set up as a fabless semiconductor manufacturers. It was listed on the Nasdaq in 1991 and designed highly integrated graphics chipsets for PC motherboards and add-in graphics cards. The company was acquired by SiS in 2003 before being acquired by HTC in 2006.
