History

Tsakos Energy Navigation was founded in 1993 by Nikolas P. Tsakos and his father, Martin P. Tsakos. Nikolas Tsakos is President, CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. With a commitment to making TEN the preeminent shipping company in the industry, Nikolas has overseen the growth of TEN from a few ships to one of the largest and most respected tanker owners in the world.
