The company was formerly known as Aruze Corp. and changed its name to Universal Entertainment Corporation in November 2009. Universal Entertainment has roots in the Asian gaming industry, having launched its first video game-based pachinko machine in 1978. In the decades to follow, the company designed, manufactured, and distributed a wide-range of gaming and entertainment products, including its flagship Aruze-branded pachinko machines.
