History

1932: Northern Natural Gas formed a division to serve the Rochester area.

1941: Wisconsin Electric purchased Wisconsin Gas & Electric and Wisconsin Michigan Power Co. from the North American Co.

1985: A second 580-megawatt unit is put into service this year.

1994: Wisconsin Energy bought Lake Geneva-based Wisconsin Southern Gas Co. and merges it into Wisconsin Natural.

1996: Wisconsin Natural merged with Wisconsin Electric.

2009: The appliance repair program was renamed ServiceChoice.

2010:Edison Sault Electric Company was sold to Cloverland Electric Cooperative of Dafter, Michigan.

2015: WEC Energy Group was formed this year but has predecessor companies that carry over a century of history.
